Naas Ladies’ Gaelic Football Table Quiz , their annual fundraising event , was very well attended by all members of the club on Friday 8th February. Naas Gaa Clubhouse was a lively place to be as members enjoyed this popular social event while contributing to the fundraising aspect of the occasion. The proceeds of this event are used to enhance training equipment and generally contribute to the development of the skills of all the players including the nursery group to the senior teams. It is an ideal opportunity for parents, players and supporters from all age groups to socialise and forge new friendships within Naas Gaa Community
The organising committee received generous sponsorship from numerous ,local businesses and they were gratefully acknowledged by the ever humorous quizmaster Liam Whelan throughout the night. The list of these local businesses may be viewed on the Naas Gaa Club website
All those who purchased a ticket to participate in the quiz were entered into the main draw for a night in a dinner for two people in the well- known hotel. The Dunraven Arms Adare; kindly donated by Ohshima Ireland. Many people went home happily as lucky winners of a variety of great raffle prizes, due to the immense generosity of the local businesses. The participants in the quiz had a moment to relax at the interval while they enjoyed some finger food , courtesy of the Ladies’ Gaelic Football committee, and checked their standing on the scoreboard.
The Naas Senior Ladies’ team were present on force as this was a bonding night for the squad prior to the commencement of the league . Representatives from Body Works ,Cáitlín Gardiner and David Gardiner , this business is also associated with David Gardiner’s Physio Works Millennium Park , were on hand to announce their sponsorship of the Naas Senior Ladies for the forthcoming season. The Crossings Naas will also continue to generously sponsor Naas Ladies’ Gaelic Football throughout2019 .All sponsorship was warmly acknowledged by James Costello, Chairman of Naas Ladies’ Gaelic Football at the onset in his welcoming speech. This funding is essential to the organisation of all the teams in the club, extend the participation of all ages and provide a very enjoyable experience for all the players.
A very enjoyable and pleasant night was had by all who attended this popular fundraising event and Naas Ladies’ Gaelic Football look forward with great enthusiasm to another memorable ,action-packed and successful season on the field of play in 2019.
