A goal two minutes into injury time by Naas substitute Ronan Joyce equalised the game that looked a lost cause as the game entered injury time. An early Eoghan O’Flaherty goal had given Carbury a distinct advantage.

Naas Made the running in the second quarter scoring five points against three for Carbury to take a one  point lead at the interval 0 – 9 to 1 – 5.

Carbury dominated the third quarter and were three up after seventeen minutes. A lead they held until Ronan Joyce struck in injury time  to level matters.

Carbury opened the scoring with a point after two minutes. Dean McHolmes equalised for Naas.A 4th. minute goal by Eoghan O’Flaherty followed by a Carbury point gave Carbury a four point advantage after five minutes. Naas replied with points from Darragh Kirwan, Barry Murphy and Colm Joyce

, Eoghan O’Flaherty and Luke Griffin swapped  points before four Naas points in a row by Sean Cullen, Colm Joyce and Luke Griffin(2) put Naas three ahead 0 – 9 to 1 – 3. Two ;late Carbury points reduced the arrears to one at the interval.

Carbury dominated the second half and with Eoghan O’Flaherty in top form they edged three clear as time ran out. However Ronan Joyce saved the day with that late goal.
