Naas Ladies’ Senior Intermediate FINAL 2018   19/09/2018

Naas Ladies’ Senior Team have qualified for the 2018 Intermediate Final after   a convincing victory against Carbury in the semi final. This has been a very impressive campaign for this squad of players whose age profile is very young at the senior ranks.

The players and management focused on the Division 3 League  at the beginning of the season and their diligent and positive attitude to training and match preparation were duly rewarded, as Naas defeated Kilcullen in the  League Final to capture the Division 3 League title.

This was  a major  step in the development of this squad as they built on their experience from last year where they narrowly missed qualification for the  Intermediate Championship Semi Final in a very exciting encounter with Maynooth.

A year later, the players have used this experience in all their group matches and recent Semi Final to deservedly earn their slot in the 2018 Intermediate Championship. This Naas squad are unbeaten in the Championship qualification matches and this is testament to the sheer determination and team spirit they have shown in each encounter.

Naas recorded impressive victories against Carbury, Suncroft and Clane en route to the Final and drew in an exciting match against Maynooth. Their  Semi Final win also epitomised their will to win and be true sporting ambassadors of Naas.

The County Final encounter against Suncroft promises to be a very entertaining and exciting match. Naas , Division 3  League title holders will be playing against Suncroft who  won Division 2. This  will be a real challenge but the Naas players are truly prepared and eagerly await the County Final as they will strive to bring back some more silverware to their club.

Let us all show our support and be there in Moorefield GAA on Saturday 22nd September at 4 pm.

The players and their management would greatly appreciate this support on the day.
