Naas Ladies’ Gaelic Football Presentation Night 24th November 2017

Naas Gaa Club was the venue for the annual Presentation Night to all the underage players in the club.

It is important to acknowledge and celebrate all the players’ enthusiasm and efforts to develop their skills and ultimately enjoy one of the most popular sports in Ireland.

There was a huge attendance with girls ranging from four years to minor level accompanied by their parents and relations.

Bernard Delaney , Cathaoirleach Cumann Peil na mBan – CLG Nás na Ríogh, opened the proceedings by extending a warm welcome to all those in attendance and thanked all his fellow Committee members and the mentors for all their effort and work throughout the year.

The victorious Minor Team were introduced to all the younger players and they duly gave them a rousing cheer as they displayed the Minor trophy ; an historic occasion as this was the first time it had been won by a Naas team.

The under 14 team were also congratulated as they had secured the Division 2 League title during the year also. This set the tone for a most enjoyable and memorable evening.

Participation, development of skills and enjoyment are always the main focus of every training session and the mentors at every age group are always mindful to pursue this approach.

There was a genuine excitement in the hall as the nursery girls ( 4years- 6 years) were presented with medals by some of the minor players, to recognise their participation.

This group were followed by the other teams, ranging in age from seven years to sixteen years. They were all proudly sporting their club colours and delighted to be part of this happy occasion.

It was a very apt way to end the season as players and adults all enjoyed this social gathering and looked forward to another successful and most importantly, an enjoyable and fulfilling year of football in 2018.

Thanks to Paul O Rourke & the Naas photography group for the fantastic photos.
