The annual Paddy O’Malley tournament was held on the October Bank Holiday Monday in Mount Juliet.

As always, Murroe Boher GAA provided the opposition and for once, we were blessed with beautiful weather. With the golf course in top condition, some excellent scores were recorded. After the cards were checked, the competition ended with a draw (5.5 each) from the eleven fourballs.

Also the overall score after 12 outings in this series is also drawn  at 6 apiece, including two draws. Thanks to William Hanly and PJ Leahy from Murroe Boher as always for organising this event and thank you to all the competitors who took part in the match which celebrates the memory of Paddy who was a stalwart of both GAA clubs and is fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Next year’s event will be hosted by Naas GAA and hopefully the weather will be as kind as it was for Mount Juliet.
