Senior Hurling Report (report by Jim Sheridan)

Naas stay on track to reach the County final for the second year in a row.

Naas seemed to fly out of the blocks from the throw in and had 3 points on the board within the first two minutes.

Then things settled down and some fine scores from both sides.

Ardclough got a goal against the run of play and shortly after, a second and Naas were in trouble.

Thirty one minutes on the clock and half time looming, a ball broke in front of the Ardclough goal and somehow Maher got a hurl or a boot to it...game on...half time.

Ardclough 2-10
Naas 1-10

Second half on and Naas settled into the game a lot quicker.

It was to be in the last quarter of the game that Naas were to do all of their scoring.

They put up 3-07 without reply. Naas were able to call on some of the new Minor players and the fresh legs made all the difference.

Two down, one to go, into the qualifiers and then it's knock out.

Well done to all involved.

Intermediate Hurling Championship Result.

The busy weekend of Hurling got off to the perfect start on Thursday night with a good win over Celbridge in Ardclough Gaa.

Gormley, Greene, Grogan & Goodfellow were strong in the backs. Dowling, Byrne, Moran & Ryan up front and a Man of the Match performance from Loughran from the middle of the field.

Scorer's for Naas Dowling 0 06 pts(4f) Loughran 0 05(3f) Byrne 1 02 Ryan 0 02 Goodfellow 0 01 Moran 0 01 McDonnacha 0 01.

Nice to see Tommy Hennessy back on the line the other night after his recent Marriage to Elaine.

Best wishes to you both from all in Hurling and also our good friend and support Susan Dunne back cheering the lads on.

Junior Hurling Championship Result.

The junior hurlers were less fortunate on Friday night. In the first half they seem to dominate the game and were looking all on to keep up the winning trend going in at half time Naas 2 09 v 0 07 Ros Glas.

But as the proverbial wheels came off the wagon it was a different Naas team that came back out after the break and try as hard as they did Ros Glas were the better team in the second half eventually winning on a scoreline of

Naas 2 14
Ros Glas 3 13
