The Annual National Féile na nGael Competition (June 16/17/18) is almost upon us, where Naas will participate as Kildare Féile A Camogie champions.

We defeated Celbridge in the Kildare final in April and since then have continued our winning ways with an historic winning of the Dublin U14 Division 1 League Competition.

We concluded our league campaign with a win over Lucan Sarsfields (Dublin Féile champions), thus completing the league with a 100% record of played 9, won 9.

The squad began preparation for the 2017 season back in October which saw them train through all kinds of weather - snow, hail, rain, wind and the odd ray of sunshine!! – over the last number of months. Last week we completed our game preparation with challenge games vs other County Féile Champions - Portlaoise (Laois); Clara (Kilkenny); and Kilcormac Killoughey (Offaly).

The Féile weekend kicks of Friday 16th June at 5.30pm with the first 2 group games in St. Johns Park – O’Loughlin Gael’s GAA grounds, Kilkenny.  Naas will play Conahy (Kilkenny) at 5.30pm and Shannon Rovers (Tipperary) at 6.15pm.

We will then play our final group game against our host club, Emeralds GAA (Urlingford), in their grounds on Saturday morning. Shield and Cup Quarters finals will take place Saturday afternoon in Myshall, Carlow at 4.30pm and 5.15pm respectively and the competition semi-finals & finals will continue Sunday in Halo Tiles COE Ferns Wexford.

This is a fabulous lifetime event for our U14 girls and we wish them the best of luck and fun as they represent their Club, County and family in this annual event.
